Our school council say "Well Done!" to everyone who has brought in batteries for recycling to St Patrick's PS. Today Jill from Mid-Ulster Council came to present us with a battery recharger set and to take away the batteries brought into school by pupils. Did you know that these will be go to France and then be stripped down and the black metal inside is extracted and when melted down it comes out as liquid metal ready to be used for any one of a million things we use every day such as cans, window frames, car bodies to name just a few things??? WOW!!!
Let's keep collecting - we have two empty boxes waiting to be filled again!!
