This morning the lovely Mary from Coalisland Library came in to speak to us all about "The Big Summer Read" that takes place every summer in the Library. The campaign starts this Friday where children can go to the library and collect their summer reading map. The Big Summer Read encourages daily reading and regular library visits from Friday 27th June to the end of August, helping to combat the “summer slide” in Literacy while fostering a lasting reading habit.
We really encourage children to use this amazing free resource over the summer. Keeping their reading strong over the summer leads to a brilliant start to their next class.
The library is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (late to 7pm), Friday and Saturday.
It would be great to see lots of our pupils getting rewarded for The Big Summer Read in September!
